District 4 State Officer
Vice President of Correspondence
District 4 Leadership Team
Welcome to District 4! My name is Jocelyn Ray, your Vice President of Correspondence from Hoke County High School. It is truly an honor to be one of your 2019-2020 State Officers.District 4 offers a different variety of things to do, from visiting parks and shopping centers to different festivals that take place throughout the year.
Are you looking to have a good time? If so, you would truly enjoy District 4, we know how to party. I was born and raised in a little town called Raeford where there was something to always do around the years. From the festivals and fairs throughout Hoke County, Cumberland County and Fort Bragg, you could always enjoy a good funnel cake. Our festival themes range from just a regular “funnel cake” fair to our local “International Folk Festival”. You could also visit our very own Paraclete XP Indoor Skydiving that’s located in my part of town. Moore County is undeniably unique for a micropolitan community to have the high quality of food, arts and culture. Moore County is also known as a “mini-Charleston” for dining as it attracts foodies and food lovers alike with a wide variety of high end local restaurants. Lee and Harnett County are known for their contributions to the North Carolina effort in the Civil War. You can also visit the North Carolina Motor Speedway in Richmond County, known as “The Rock” for most.
Last but not least, all of our schools provide great educational opportunities for students ranging from an early college that allows students to graduate with an Associate Degree, to my school, Hoke County High School that has a variety of clubs and classes that successfully prepare my fellow classmates and I for the future. Hoke County offers classes that will help students get a “license” in their preferred field such as: barbering, cosmetology, CNA, EMT, and welding.
